Hospice Experience: 1 year
Why did you choose to serve in hospice? My first hospice experience was when my dad suddenly developed Glioblastoma – an aggressive brain cancer that is resistant to treatment. He was so brave and courageous, and I remember being afraid, helpless, and lost. The experience instilled a fierce desire to provide others with something I didn’t have during that difficult time: courage, kindness, knowledge, peace and understanding. Being welcomed into the private lives and homes of individuals during their difficult path is an honor and privilege that I am grateful to be a part of.
What do you enjoy most about being a part of the SouthEast Hospice family? I love how the staff at SouthEast Hospice is united in purpose. They support and walk with me, and together we all support and will walk with you.
