“I serve as a volunteer with SouthEast Hospice to be a helping hand and listening ear to patients and especially their caregivers. SouthEast Hospice’s group of selfless individuals do what I call “heart work.” They do it with kindness, respect, and grace. My late husband and I were on the receiving end nearly two years ago and SouthEast Hospice’s impression on me has held steady. I’m honored to volunteer in whatever capacity needed – telephone calls, deliveries, visits. I count it all joy.”

“I volunteer with Southeast Hospice to give back to the amazing organization that provided invaluable support to my grandfather during the final stage of his life. The opportunity to listen to the wonderful stories and experiences shared by the individuals at Southeast Hospice is something I deeply cherish. I hope that, in some small way, my presence brings them additional comfort and peace during this important time in their lives.”

“I am proud to be a volunteer for such an outstanding group, Southeast Hospice. Even though I haven’t met many of the patients and caregivers that I call weekly, I feel like I know them as friends.  Many of them share their concerns and struggles of daily life.  My weekly visits with one family have led to a friendship. Volunteering for Southeast has allowed me to help my community in a small, but significant way.”

“Volunteering at Southeast Hospice is a fantastic way to make a difference in people’s lives. Building meaningful connections with those in need based on trust, love, and admiration is essential, enriching my life and those I support.”

I volunteer at SouthEast Hospice so that I can serve some of the most vulnerable members of our community. It has been an honor and privilege to slow down in my daily life and spend time listening, laughing, and even singing with people I would not otherwise have had a chance to meet.”
